Better than previous versions.

The best thing about this camera is the replaceable battery. Since the older versions batteries die after about 2 years this is a PLUS. I don't see any simple way to shut off the spotlight. I am not too thrilled about the settings but overall a better camera than the previous versions which I would rate with 1 star because of the battery issues.

Not worth the money takes to long to load live view and sometimes it’ll record the motion most of the time it won’t I’ve walked by the camera 3 or 4 times and it only picked me up once.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are very pleased with the WYZE Battery Cam Pro. We purchased 4. If I can point out 1 weakness, it is the mounting "system" that comes with the camera. I believe WYZE assumes the camera will be mounted to the wall (outdoors)? Our preference was to mount them under the roof overhang to get better video coverage. We fabricated some pieces from composite dimension lumber and screwed them up under the roof overhang. We quickly learned how to fasten the pieces together so we could orient the cameras in their desired positions. We have a 1650 sq ft ranch style home with a double garage. We now can monitor 95% of the house perimeter with the 6 cameras we installed (we re-used 2 - four year old WYZE battery cameras to end up with 6 total covering the perimeter). Camera setup (on wi-fi) is very easy, if you follow the directions. Once we had the the first one set up, setting up the others was very quick and easy for us. The monitoring system is user friendly.

Great camera with a screwed up charge port

Great camera. Good resolution. The battery feature and ability to connect directly makes it superior to the existing outdoor cameras that must connect Through the base station
There is one downside, however. And it is a big one. Perhaps there are defective versions of this camera out there or perhaps it is because The camera I purchased was on sale, you Will not find yourself using the camera very long. The charge port that plugs into the solar panel (also purchased) is none – functional.
I am unaware if the camera will charge or not from the solar panel because I cannot get the Solar panel plug into the charge receptacle. Is not just that. I am unable to get any charge cord of any type into the charge port.
I am unaware of the specific issue but I am attempting to return this camera.
