Camera battery drainage

I purchased these and the camera is awesome but in order to get the really good picture it runs the battery down. I set it up. Let’s say 11 PM the next day by noon. The battery was dead.

Hello! If the battery on your Wyze Battery Cam Pro seems to be draining quickly please try the following steps:

-Confirm that your camera’s firmware is up to date and the Wyze app is up to date.
-Ensure you’re using the charging cable that came with your Wyze Battery Cam Pro.
-Verify that you’re using a 5V 2A power adapter.

We initially purchased 9 cameras for our building. Ordering was frustrating because we were going to buy more but the order size somehow created an algorithm that kept canceling such a large purchase. Because these cameras are so good we decided to make several orders to complete our project. The ease of setup and install so far has been pretty easy. Picture Resolution is great. Connection and buffering times have improved but could still be faster (minor issue) and I’m planning on fine tuning the sensor ranges once everything is installed. Overall I give these 4 out of 5 stars just due to the above mentioned issues. STILL I highly recommend these and we will continue to use Wyze to expand our monitoring capabilities for our property.

Compared to the first generation wire-free camera, it's a considerably larger investment. I do like the available separate battery pack, for charging outside of the camera, plus not having to connect to Wyze's proprietary wi-fi base station. I wish there were more viable options for mounting the Battery Cam Pro without having to drill any holes, like adhesive or magnetic.

As a camera it works. Its ability to catch an event is very limited. 30 feet motion detection is not that far really. Even within 30 feet it does not catch things very well. Night vision is useless. I haven’t found any of the wyze cameras to perform well at night.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
