I would like the motion sensor to reach a little further. At night we have to be about 10 feet away before the light comes on. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

This is a real nice camera. With built in lights that go on when needed this device has a quick replaceable rechargeable battery making the switch in a few seconds with no downtime. Each of the three cameras I have appear on my Wyze app through our home wifi. There is no need for a dedicated base station. I've had these installed for almost a month and they have used less than 20% of the charge. I'm very impresed.

Not getting the full picture! 4ur$

You don't get what you pay for when it comes to cam plus substitution it never records an event till the end and on top of that it misses events totally when i know it happened. I use it to keep an eye out for my truck and if someone where to do something to it guess what i don't have the entire recording of persons. I just have to deal with it because i know nothing is going to change. It's been like this since day one. Through several versions of cameras.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing 'upgrade' from Wyze Outdoor Cameras

After using multiple Wyze Outdoor Cameras (WCO) for a few years, I was hoping that the new Battery Cam Pro (BCP) would address some of the many complaints that I've had with the WCO.
Sadly, while the BCP has some improvements, there are also some significant steps in the wrong direction. My fingers are crossed that some of these can be addressed with firmware updates.
Positives:
+ larger, replaceable battery
+ spotlight
Negatives:
- no support for timelapse;
- very long delay to live view;
- significantly reduced RF range (with Wyze base and TPL Deco Wifi AP collocated, WBCP range is less than half of the WCO);
- no obvious means to disable the spotlight
- mount included seems like a cheap after-thought that doesn't seem appropriate for this camera
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery Life

The battery life is horible. If you want to continuously record even with a solar panel it will only last for maybe one day. If you put the camera in direct sunlight the battery will deplete in one day even on record events only with a solar panel. To make the battery last using event recording only I had to protect the camera by putting it in an enclosure (plastic flower pot).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello! If the battery on your Wyze Battery Cam Pro seems to be draining quickly please try the following steps:

-Confirm that your camera’s firmware is up to date and the Wyze app is up to date.
-Ensure you’re using the charging cable that came with your Wyze Battery Cam Pro.
-Verify that you’re using a 5V 2A power adapter.

Camera good but push to buy more products annoying

The camera seems to be working well but reviewing the events is a challenge in itself. The constant push to purchase cam plus is annoying and they actually signed me up for it without my consent. I have an SD card in the camera and it’s almost like Wyze discourages you from using it wanting you to purchase cam plus. Also the ads get in the way of your bottom menu and forces you to look at the ads. The camera on its own does well if Wyze would stop with the annoying push for sales I would give it another star.

Cheap installation hardware

Great camera, very poor installation hardware. East coast word must be harder than West coast house framing as cheap screws furnished to mount camera stripped screw heads before extra long length could be tightened fully. Used 1.25 inch zinc wood screws instead and all went well after working extra long to get original screw back out.
