I wanted indoor surveillance in a 100 yr old beach house where power would be very difficult to provide due to scarcity of outlets. Bought two of these that do an outstanding job. The physical setup is very easy. The programming/rule setting for when & what you want reported, etc. is still a little confusing to me and there's no comprehensive manual that I can find. But the little topical hints and tips plus some trial and error has allowed me to get them set up to do just about what I wanted.

I think the range should be at least 50 feet. Also, there is no way the battery will last for months. I will be lucky to get 4 weeks out of it. I spent 42 years as an alarm installer and service man, so I do know a little about this type of equipment.
