The camera and being able to charge the battery by itself is very cool, but it doesn't last , I got the cam 2 weeks ago (black Friday sale 2023) and it is on its 2nd charge with very little activity, and on Dec-28 it is already at 70 %. I also have outdoor cams with the same issue. I guess Wyze just can't make battery powered cams that last as long as they say it does
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello! If the battery on your Wyze Battery Cam Pro seems to be draining quickly please try the following steps:
-Confirm that your camera’s firmware is up to date and the Wyze app is up to date. -Ensure you’re using the charging cable that came with your Wyze Battery Cam Pro. -Verify that you’re using a 5V 2A power adapter.
If all of the above is confirmed we would recommend taking a look at this guide for further troubleshooting tips:

I put this camera out on a corner of my property where i don't have electricity. It's set off the road about 100 ft in. I left it on the factory default settings and when i set the cam up and plugged in the solar panel at night. It was at 36% when i plugged it in. On a cloud covered day it charged pretty well. It got it to 45%. 3 days were cloud covered and it would keep it at 45% the next 2 days it was cloudy enough it didn't charge. The next day was full sun and charged from 36 to 68%, the next day it went to 95. And then 100%. I don't use the spot light feature because of where it is located. I feel the batter is sufficient and i feel the solar panel is a great match for the camera. My only complaint is the screws for the camera and the screws for the solar panels are a different size. If you put the wrong screws in the camera base it will cause the base not to screw on tight to lock the base down. Other than that this works for my needs.
The battery is nice but the events recording is problematic. The events are missing the 1st 5 seconds (or so) so some only show the last few glimpses of the object that triggered the event. Identifying the event is never correct. My cam OGs are much better.
The cam will not load on live feed. initially it did, then stopped working. I have literally tried multiple times with all methods over weeks and it will just not load. It records just fine and video/pics are great. They did refund, but just want a fix..
LOVE the camera?! I can move it anywhere and it has a great picture with high resolution. It never seems to skip time like my older cameras do now since I can't upgrade their firmware any longer.
My only concern is battery life. They seem to be drawing a lot of power ,but I'm keeping an eye on them to see if it's me, or tif it's he camera. I'll let you know. Over all, really satisfied!
So far I have only had this mounted for a week and I am very pleased. I fully charged it and then mounted with the solar panel on a side of the house that does not get direct sun for about half of the day and after 2 weeks the battery is still showing 100%.
It is on my side yard where we do not have as much traffic so it is not going off much but it is performing better battery wise than I would have imagined.
My only issue is that I wish there was a larger detection zone and that it would detect motion further out in the yard. I would have dropped to 4 stars because of that but bumped back to 5 due to the impressive battery performance.
