I have two of these newer generation battery cameras. They are great for use in areas that don't have easy access to an outlet. Both of my cameras are attached to solar panels and they have never needed charging even if the solar panel isn't in perfect position for maximum sun exposure. They are great in showing you a saved picture of recent movement caught by the camera. They also have clear resolution. They are inferior to conventionally powered cameras in their ability to show real time video. It takes quite a while to connect to real time video with Wyze battery operated cameras compared to their conventionally powered siblings.
Not terrible. Video image on the Wyze app is good, but it is impossible to make it work with Google Home, even after lots of back and forth with Wyze support. There is lots of online discussion about that. Wish I had read that before I bought it.
A great camera easy to install actually works quite well and for the price you cannot go wrong. Battery life is terrific. The fact that it recharges with a solar panel is even better.
Been running for about 10 days now and along with the solar panel has kept about a full charge. Got quite a few interesting videos of the birds visiting the feeder.
Love this cam with solar panel combo. Sun is enough to keep the rechargeable batteries charged and the camera operating. I have several in my yard. Highly recommend.
Generally a pretty good value for the money. I’d like to see better resolution. The videos are good as taken, but if I want to get a closer look by magnifying the picture (like reading a license plate or identifying a person), it is lousy. Also there should be some artificial intelligence in the software. As an example I would want the camera to identify a specific repetitive motion and notify me of this).
