Purchased a WYZE Solar Cam Pan to monitor snow and ice jams (around chimney) on my metal roof. FANTASTIC purchase!!! Wanted to purchase a second (Cam Pan) until WYZE recalled and discontinued it. Definitely needed another camera to complete the coverage area of the roof. Well, I purchased 2 WYZE Battery Cam Pros and installed them (see photos of roof) so that I could be ready for next winter. These cameras are okay, but not as functional (to me).They give you a stationary picture as opposed to the Solar Cam Pan which pans and covers a much greater area. I’m extremely disappointed that WYZE made a big deal about recalling and discontinuing the Solar Cam Pan but DID NOT inform its customers that a new version would be available soon after. If so, I would have waited and purchased the NEW Solar Cam Pan but will make do with the two Battery Cam Pros. Four Stars because it’s not the Solar Cam Pan.

Don't buy these! I got two of these to put in an area that would be difficult to run power. By the time they wake up, they miss at least half the motion event and if set to continuous recording the battery is dead in 24hrs even with the solar panels.

I have the camera mounted outside of my garage and it is very effective at monitoring the driveway and street so I can see who is coming and going. Night vision is not important since I have lights on the garage but happy with the resolution, sensitivity and recording options. Recommend this product.

Battery Pro Cam is perfect for that hard to reach spot of your house! The spotlight is the brightest of any of the other Wyze cameras I own. Once you figure out the setting, the solar panel keeps it fully charge for a worry free system.

Took me a little bit to get settings right on this one for my purpose, but seems to be working well now. Wish I could though leave the SD card on continuous so that I pick up more of the action since this one was for wild animal viewing.
