I keep buying Wyze cameras and accessories hoping to have the cameras live up to their advertising. I bought the Wyze Battery Cam Pro to replace a Wyze Outdoor Cam that was not reliable and functioning the way I hoped it would. I was unaware that the Wyze Solar Panel I was using with the WOC wouldn't work with the BCP and then had to place a separate order for a USB-C adapter cable. I am almost 80 years old and have to get someone to tend to the cameras that I have had installed very high up on the outside of my home. The camera isn't getting any power from the solar panel, so soon I will have to get someone over again and take the camera down. I was also expecting a firmware update to be able to use an SD card that is already in the camera. I'm losing faith in Wyze after raving over the V2s and V3s I have that are still serving me well. I just knew the models that could be used outside without an electrical outlet were going to solve my problems, but I was wrong.

Hello there! We are sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced. Wyze Solar Panel will work with both Wyze Cam Outdoor and Wyze Battery Cam Pro, however, the solar panel will need a USB-C adapter cable to be compatible with Wyze Battery Cam Pro.
The feature to use a microSD card with Wyze Battery Cam Pro is coming soon. While continuous or motion-only local recording won’t be available on Wyze Battery Cam Pro at launch, those features are coming soon. Wyze Battery Cam Pro is compatible with microSD cards in the following sizes and formats:
8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB microSD cards in FAT32 format
Up to 256 GB microSD cards in exFAT format

Pros: Nice quality cameras. Picture is very nice. Clear. Battery life appears to be good.
Cons: Extremely laggy when receiving notifications. I can walk past the camera and it won’t pick me up, but the wind will blow and send me a notification. Takes forever to load live feed. Video duration is very short even if I set the setting to record longer, videos are always 8-15 seconds.
These would be really nice cameras if the detection and live feed/recording setting were improved.
Hopefully Wyze has an update soon to correct these issues.

This camera works good however does not seem to pick up motion and there is not any way to review/ playback data. It's good if you just want to check in and see what is happening "live", however if you are trying to monitor your property it's not a good choice.

Hello there! Wyze Battery Cam Pro can detect motion up to 30 feet away. Refine the range further with a customized detection zone or adjust the detection sensitivity.

Hopefully the patch for continuous recording to the SD card comes soon that part really will make this a pretty great cam. Would also be smart to add crash reports like a log or notifs of when the cam comes on or off connection with the wifi. Personally I feel that would be so clutch, and it would elevate the system to like next level.
