So far I can't find anything wrong with this product. It's perfect for what we use it for. It's literally a doorbell camera (without the annoying bell) just an alert on our devices, it's a porch light, it's a floodlight, it's a theft deterrent and it's a wildlife watcher. We live in the country that's also heavily wooded so there is no shortage of wildlife. The black bears are migrating to our area and we'd rather deter them than harm them. So the siren will hopefully scare them back into the woods and not too close to the house. This thing is perfect, we're debating on one for the back yard since there are no lights where we live but that's also why we moved here. This literally is the most genius idea as a replacement porch light, it's got an ambient setting so it's a softer light until it detects people then the blinding lights come on. It's big but also has the modern look so it's not gaudy. Our home is tan so we went with white.
This unit is a smart update to an old idea. Automatic floodlights have been around for decades but this unit takes convenience and combines it with security all for less money than an old school power wasting one trick pony. I have this unit pointed at my heavily wooded backyard and while i have yet to scare away a tool borrowing neighbor or a burglar i have managed to snapshot some amazing wildlife both day and night! The AI is really good, it can tell the difference between an animal and a person and is customizable to avoid nuisance alerts..you can only get so excited after a thousand squirrel alerts. Last night i spotted an 8 point buck and his entire entourage on the night cam. Amazing!
Easy setup, and works as advertised. Solid quality. The detection zone is worthless. I've lowered the sensitivity wayyy down and created a custom detection zone to almost right in front of my Garage door to minimize drive by traffic and people and it picks up ANY movement still even across the street
Love the wide view, the extra wifi frequency and the easy Bluetooth setup. Camera seems overly sensitive even after adjusting same or the camera is too slow to catch whatever motion it sensed. Either way, too many images of thin air are captured. A trade-in/trade-up program for non Pro versions of the floodlight cam would be nice for those of us who purchased same recently (before we knew the pro version was coming)
Light works fantastically and the camera is really good. The continual reminder to buy a plan is annoying though. Long as you have a memory card in, you can still watch video.
