I love the fact that it has biometrics to unlock, but it eats up batteries. Once to twice a month, I’m having to change out the batteries in it.

If it worked more than 68% of the time I would give it a higher rating. But over 1/3 of the time I am stuck outside with the Lock Bolt in some sort of panic mode if after I have tried 3x.

Everything is that way I like it: encrypted, no communication with anyone and works great opening it with my fingerprint. HOWEVER - It does not detect if the door is open or closed - all i can do is to set a delay to lock the door automatically, but that does not work half the time because my door is not always open for the same amount of time! I have damage to my door for closing the door when the lock already locked. It is almost great, but if you want to use the auto-lock function - look somewhere else.

I purchased the Wyze Lock Bolt to replace an older electronic deadbolt. It was easy to install and program and sits very solidly in the door. I'm very happy with it - the fingerprint recognition works great and is such a convenient, brilliant feature. Also impressed with the anti-snoop pin entry system. Not surprisingly, it's another well-conceived and well-executed product from Wyze.

The install was easy and all parts included. It is local control only, but for the price it's hard to beat. I didn't go with the remotely controlled lock as it didn't come in the oil rubbed bronze finish. It's just fine for our needs.
