Pros: The lock was packaged well and the instructions included were easy to understand. I had not swapped out a smart deadbolt before but removal of old and installing new was easy because the instructions was clear and concise. Once installed it has been working well and as with all Wyze devices, it was simple to add to the app.
Cons: while this lock works as described it would be nice if it was WiFi capable. This model is Bluetooth so you don’t have functionality to close remotely if out of blue tooth range. If you forget to lock your door. It stays unlocked.

After several months using the Wyze Lock Bolt, I can report that it is very convenient (compared to always having to remember grabbing a key) and reliable. It locks and unlocks quick enough for an impatient person like myself. The fingerprint reader works 95% of the time and when it acts wonky, the keypad is easy enough to use. It was a breeze to install.
Needs 2 additional functions for 5 Stars:
1) A schedule setting to lock at a particular time. I would like to leave auto lock off all day, but then have it lock by itself at say 8pm.
2) A position sensor so it does not auto lock when the door is open. It is very frustrating when it auto lock when the door is open.

It's good, but the finger sensor is picky. My wife and daughter it does not work. I have to breath on my finger before touching for sensor then it works. Other then that the metal inside is thin compared to other door locks I have so I am a bit worried. Other then that I can use my finger wife and daughter have to punch in codes! Also I did redo my wife and daughters finger prints 3 times, same issue!

We were excited to get this lock and use the fingerprint technology to keep teenagers from sharing codes with friends. However we returned the lock for 2 reasons. 1. No internet connectivity so it could not be controlled remotely or monitored when not at home. 2. No manual key for backup should the battery fail. We gave it 3 stars for the fingerprint technology and the appearance but it failed when compared to other locks on the market. Add wifi (with functionality in your app to see when its locked/unlocked and by who and to lock/unlock remotely) and a key or manual operation option for when the battery fails and you will have a winner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
