Disappointing. No wifi no door open detection.

I was disappointed. They crippled this otherwise brilliant idea by leaving out WIFI.
The keypad is excellent and works well. The lock also does NOT detect whether the door is ajar.
SO. I am ditching this unit for a Wyze Door Lock. I had such high hopes too.
The deadbolt is well made and installs easily enough.
But add some way to connect to the wifi network. Maybe make a BT/Wifi bridge for it, don't know. But without connecting it to the app so I can open it remotely, etc, its usefulness is limited.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks Great, Less Features

This bolt looks great and the finger print reader is very convenient. But this product lacks the features of the Wyze Lock (Open door detection, take out the trash, etc.) so, for example, if you leave the door open the app can't detect this and will engage the lock (if that option is enabled). I am hoping that the features from the Wyze Lock will be added. Overall I feel like I made a bad downgrade to get a better aesthetic look at my front door.

Next one needs to be WiFi connected…not Bluetooth.

I’ve owned the Wyze Lock and now the Wyze Lock Bolt. It’s too bad that the designers didn’t keep the “connected” features of the Lock when creating the Lock Bolt. I can no longer unlock my door remotely. I can’t make changes to the Lock Bolt setting unless within Bluetooth range. Perhaps the next iteration could be WiFi connected and have fingerprint and keypad capabilities…the best of both locks!

Auto lock feature leaves a little to be desired

It's pretty good for the price. The blue tooth is not strong enough to reach very far in the house. That is disappointing. The major flaw I have could probably be fixed with a software update. I have a schedule set for the auto lock to start at around 9pm and then turn off at 10pm. The problem is that at 9pm the auto lock does not start until you manually lock the door. The solution would be for the lock to auto lock at the scheduled time.

Good (you can't beat the price) but here are ideas for improvement: 1. Allow locking at specific time, like the door auto locks at 9pm.
2. Allow locking from phone when you are on home wifi.
3. Somehow improve fingerprint sensor. It's pretty spotty.
