Okay lock with some installation and usage issues

I've been using the Wyze Bolt Lock for a couple of keeps and found the following. Installation went okay with a few issue. The new bolt was larger then the hole in the door. The house is 15 years old so that shouldn't have been an issue. The strike plate took some work and wood removal to get into place.
As for the lock itself the construction is good. The fingerprint scanner is fast and accurate. There has been one time the lock has to be reset by taking out the battery as it just flashed red when activated. Overall it works okay but don't trust it will be reliable

Super easy installation. Works very well and incredibly reliable. It is rather loud compared to our LOCKLY lock but it is also 1/4th the price with just as good if not more technology.
I’d buy it again.

I love the concept and ease of use but would suggest an upgrade where deadbolt only locks when aligned with the door socket. Otherwise, the deadbolt releases it's pin with automatic lock feature on and it gets banged to the door especially in a home with kids.

Disappointed. Thought I would have app access to it when away and needing to let someone in. You have to send a code, dialogue about how to, etc. Thought it would be similar to first one (Wyze bolt w/keypad built in). The first one lasted 3 months before hardware wore out (lock still worked fine, but unit stopped turning it). A bit frustrating. Starting to be "just like other companies" in my mind. Had hoped their approach held with quality. Starting to think I may be disappointed with Wyze, overall.

Over look is great, size amazing, but finger scan doesn’t always work. I changed my finger 3 times, used a different hand as well even my wife had to change her finger twice because the door just didn’t unlock. Also, it takes a few before it reads or connects to use the app, doesn’t unlock on its own like their other door lock item they sell which I personally love because works great and auto unlocks when you get close to the door (hint they should of had made this the same way, maybe in the future)
