I bought these thinking I could save some money and switch to a newer company like Wyze. The product installed perfectly, then I left my house feeling it was secured. All the locks have gone offline and so has the security hub. So I need to drive back to the property to restart everything I hope. There should be some remote reset feature or something built into the firmware to restart when it’s disconnected for so many hours.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It works better than I expected. Installation was easy. I wish I had read the part where I add the device to my Wyze app first, as the instructions on the phone were easier to see and understand than what came on the printed Quick Guide. Either way, the unit installed quickly, found my network, and worked instantly with my app on my iPhone. The only think I wish it had that it does not, is a local fingerprint identification storage. To use the fingerprint option, you have to store your fingerprint on the Wyze server. In this day and age, having PII stored online with dubious security, should not be the default or only option. Otherwise, the code entry option works great. I also like the auto-lock feature that you can set to work within a user-defined time window, or at all times, should you desire. I highly recommend this unit.

This is the second Wyze lock bolt I have purchased, that should tell you what I think of this product. It works as advertised, the ability to control the lock from the app is wonderful, and the installation was very easy. The first was installed on a brand new and was done by the installer, the second was on an existing door and I did the installation, anyone with basic DYI skills can put the lock in and program it.

It works great when it does. The housing feels like cheap plastic and not very sturdy. One lock is positioned maybe three feet from the router, and we still have connection issues. The other can't connect via the app nearly at all.

Simple to install operates flawlessly. Not fumbling for keys is great and I haven't lost my fingerprint lately. Really beats fumbling for keys. The code is great. I haven't tried any special access codes or loaned my fingerprint to anyone so not much help there.
