I like everything about this refrigerator

Great ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement for my Maytag. There is more room in the refrigerator part, and I love the ice in the freezer. I m in a wheelchair so it is very convenient for me. The water inside the door is a bit more challenging however. I can reach it but barely and it takes two hands to fill my glass. When I spill , if I don't get the water all cleaned up, it freezes the light switch in the freezer. Still it is very well designed with plenty of door space which again is handy for me, and I have my ice!!!!

Love the black stainless!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Whirlpool was delivered 9 days ago. All features started up right away. It has been reliable and is certainly an attractive appliance. My favorite feature is the internal water dispenser. I no longer need the huge Brita water pitcher that took up a lot of shelf space and was heavy to lift.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Compressor runs noisy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I replaced a 21 year old Amana refrigerator, which ran quietly, I was disappointed with this new one as I could hear the compressor running or making noise while the compressor run, across the room. It is not quite at all. This was a big disappointment when a 21 year old technology was totally quiet. I wish whirlpool could make this model run quite and send me a new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you are concerned about your refrigerator running too much, here are key areas to check:
Location and Ventilation
Ensure the refrigerator is installed indoors, away from heat sources (like an oven or radiator).
It should be in a location with an ambient temperature between 55°F (13°C) and 110°F (43°C).
Verify there is sufficient space around the sides and top for proper air circulation; do not block the base grille or install behind a cabinet door.
Recent Changes
The motor will run longer for 24 to 48 hours after initial installation or after adding a large amount of new food/beverages. This is normal until temperatures stabilize.
Usage and Settings
Limit how frequently the doors are opened, as this causes the internal temperature to rise and the motor to run more often.
Confirm that the temperature controls are set correctly, typically at the factory "mid setting." Setting controls too low will increase the run time unnecessarily.

A good producet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaced a very similar product from another manufacturer. I love the pull-out drawer with the lifting top. It has great depth and very useful for cheeses, meats, etc.
I also like the filtered water feature inside the left hand side. I didn't want a door ice/water dispenser because it takes so much interior space. This is a good alternative for me.
It does seem noisier than my previous fridge during its normal running. I guess I'll get used to it.
