Wish I had my old one back

Racks are awkward. Too many specialized area. Can’t fit travel mugs . Our cutlery won’t fit in slots designed for that on the lower rack . Showed a row of plates in manual up the middle of lower rack and smalls on either side , that’s impossible. Wish I had my old one back very disappointed. Fancy features but not practical

Overall, I would look at something else

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that you put a cover on this dishwasher, but it is so much smaller and has too many racks. It doesn't fit pots in the bottom rack and is at least 30% smaller than my last kitchenaid. the rack alignment for stacking plates is very odd and causes issues with loading. The cleaning is pretty good, but some cutlery comes out with food still on it (probably a user error in loading or on too often). Some great features like the LED time on the bottom, but to me its way too overpriced for what it gives.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Two out of three (racks) ain't bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved my old KitchenAid that this was replacing. The new top 2 racks are terrific and versatile. But the old bottom rack was much better. I can fit much fewer plates and things in the bottom rack.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed

I bought this dishwasher a year ago and I am still struggling to figure out the rack system. I have only owned KitchenAid dishwashers and this is the worst rack system I have ever owned. I called to see if I could at least get a new bottom rack because the rack that came with the dishwasher is absolutely useless. I had to raise the middle rack so the spray arm would stop hitting the top of the dinner plates and now the drinking glasses don't fit except in one spot. It does clean well but everything else is horrible. Also for being one of the top dishwashers it doesn't even have a rinse aid level indicator and I have yet to find the salt indicator. I do not recommend this dishwasher.

Buy the EXTENDED WARRANTY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few days of using it it broke. It has a open door feature that air dry's the dishes. Well it worked fine and then it did not. The plastic tab popped out and will not retract. The repair person is ordering a new part - He said the motor seized up and he will need to replace the part. The machine is under warranty and I purchased your extended warranty. Please I hope this is a one off breakage and not what I will have to deal with on a regular basis. I love extended warranties but I don't like to need to use them.

Regret this purchase

We've had this for 6 months. It is a big disappointment vs. other KitchenAids we've had in the past. Especially given the price point. Main issues:
- The top rack is essentially non-functional- the sprayers don't cover most of the rack area there so things don't get clean (the FreeFlex Fit Third Level rack is significantly different that the FreeFlex in our last model). - Dishes don't get dry. Either the auto-open feature doesn't help or the traditional drying capability was significantly downgrading when they added the auto-open feature. - Very small overall.
