Smaller than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the panel ready feature but it is not as deep as our old KitchenAid dishwasher. This significantly impacts the ability to load the bottom rack without plates banging. Also racks seem more flimsy and the user (and installation) manuals are poorly written

Buy the EXTENDED WARRANTY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few days of using it it broke. It has a open door feature that air dry's the dishes. Well it worked fine and then it did not. The plastic tab popped out and will not retract. The repair person is ordering a new part - He said the motor seized up and he will need to replace the part. The machine is under warranty and I purchased your extended warranty. Please I hope this is a one off breakage and not what I will have to deal with on a regular basis. I love extended warranties but I don't like to need to use them.

Not the best, but not the worst dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a step back from the previous design. Addition of the third shelf resulted in loss of function. Now I cannot use the dishwasher for about 15% of items, which are too large. There is no good holding of mugs and glasses - they go on their sides and roll because of lack of positioning frames. I do not have the galsses they use in photoshops; mine just do not fit that way. And in the photoshops they use racks with older style vertical pins (which are practical). The new spacing in the lower rack limits the sizes of dishes and their number that can be inserted. What is completely ridiculous is the number of positions for utencils - about 10 times more than dishes (they eat space both in the 1st and 3rd racks). And the manual is completely useless. If they were too lazy to write down the meaning of the buttons and the proper way to use them, at least insert the links to videos made by other frustrated users (this is how I learned that the 3rd rack has its own jets). Unfortunately, I have no choice because this is only one 21 inch-deep model left on the market. If my previous dishwasher (did not fall apart (also Kitchen Aid, required 3 repairs), I would not bother.
However, if I forget that I need now use it twice more often and need to wash many items now by hand, the washing it does is excellent.

Super quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super quiet. Like the light in the cabinet. Only complaint would be design of rack. Like old Kitchen Aid rack design better. No specific place for plastic lids. Pulls take room from front of rack

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I love this dishwasher, it is extremely quiet and dishes come out spotless. I love the extra top rack. My main dislike are the small spindles on the middle and bottom racks as cups fall over fairly easily. My old Kenmore dishwasher was perfect that way and it seemed to fit more dishes because of it. I wish that I could get the racks on the cheaper model on this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher is ok. I like their older model better. The racks on the bottom rack are so flimsy and not sturdy enough to even hold a plate . Not much can fit versus the older model.

Great Dishwasher but sell me the dishes as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the dishwasher and the brand. My last KitchenAid dishwasher lasted 15 years. I have high hopes for this one given the ability to clean it more easily. The filter at the bottom of the tub is fantastic.
The one problem that KitchenAid could solve and is to sell the dishwasher with dishes, cups, flatware, and utensils for 4 that all fit properly.
Larger ceramic plates would do better with longer tines and the middle rack seems like it is made for tea cups and saucers. We make it work, and the other brands are no better. I guess design for the masses is hard.
