Energy efficient and Feature rich dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently installed the 44 dBA ADA Compliant Dishwasher in Stainless Steel, and I’m impressed with its performance and design.
First off, the installation was surprisingly easy. It seamlessly integrated into my kitchen cabinets, giving it a sleek built-in look. The flush-mount design adds to the aesthetic appeal, making it blend beautifully with the surrounding cabinetry.
One standout feature is the 3rd Rack, which is perfect for loading hard-to-fit utensils and small items. This extra space has been a game-changer for organizing my dishes efficiently.
Another highlight is the Door Open Dry feature, which enhances drying performance by allowing air to circulate effectively. This ensures that dishes come out clean and dry, ready to be put away without any water spots.
One of the best aspects of this dishwasher is its quiet operation. At just 44 dBA, it runs so quietly that it doesn’t disrupt daily activities or conversations in the kitchen. It’s especially appreciated during mealtime when I prefer a peaceful environment.

Quiet and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Whirlpool dishwasher is a huge upgrade from my 15+ year old dishwasher it replaced. It is extremely quiet even from standing right next to it. It takes longer to run a cycle but is much more efficient in the process. The inside design is the only thing that kept it from 5 stars. Don't get me wrong, it will hold a lot of dishes, but the layout leaves something to be desired. There doesn't seem to be adequate space for cups and glasses on the second rack. It should be all flat, but there is a raised section that is tough to work with. The top utensil drawer is great for large, flat items like spatulas. It also has a door open feature that is great for drying and energy saving but works best with a solid surface coutertop. Mine is formica, and the hot steam made the underside particle board swell, so the feature was turned off. I did install this myself, and it was a project for someone who's never done one before. All in all, I am happy with this dishwasher and its features. I hope it lasts for years to come.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed an ADA dishwasher, and this one was available. I don't like the automatic dryer open feature. Things don't get dry when the door opens automatically. I would have preferred to see all the options listed on the front of the door itself, rather than having to select options and shutting the door to start the machine. It's irritating to have to bend down and look inside to see how much time is left for the wash cycle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Satisfactory Performace

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Racks are obviously designed by someone who never uses a dishwasher. The short little tines don't hold anything vertically, bowls tip over and bang against the other dishes. Lucky if you can get a plate to stand up. Dishwasher is quiet which is nice. It does get the dishes clean. Open door dry is more like open door soaking wet. Extended dry works. Every inch of this dishwasher shows signs of design that saves Whirlpool money in the manufacturing. Skimped wherever they could. Profit before product is what I see. Funny how you get an email 2 days after you receive the product and they want your review immediately. Well here it is, after 10 days. Only time will tell how long this thing will last. A little disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Some small space issues, but otherwise great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not realize this was designed for people with ambulatory issues, so it is closer to the ground. As someone with back problems but who is not in a wheelchair, reaching lower to load and unload can be difficult, so the fact that it is lower to the ground then most machines would have been nice to know.
I do like the 3rd rack, but it does take some space. Even with the top rack in the upper position, I no longer have room for some items that previously fit on the bottom, which I now have to wash be hand. If I had to choose again, I might not choose something with the 3rd rack.
Otherwise it has been great, and I love the salt to help prevent the calcium and hard water buildup.
