Pumping shouldn’t be this frustrating.

This is my fourth child and I felt like it would be so much easier to use a hands free, wireless pump. I was wrong. It either can’t latch, the start button doesn’t work on one side, miscalculated what I’ve pumped so that it says it’s full when there’s like 0.2 ounces... it’s crazy that they are able to sell this at such a high price point when it has soooo many issues. I hope no new moms have purchased this and end up feeling defeated by all of the problems. I was hoping this would make it easier for me to pump for times I need to leave my baby but I should’ve just stuck with my spectra on the couch.

Disappointed

Most of the technology doesn’t really work. It gives you wrong numbers and is difficult to connect. Many times it says it’s full on the app and i take It off and there’s 2 ounces in it. It extracts very little milk compared to the madela. I can’t return or resell but this buy was definitely not what I thought it would be.

Really wanted this to work...

I'm writing this as I send my pump back to Willow in the mail to get my refund... initially purchased from another retailer and pump stopped working within 3 weeks of use. They sent a replacement and those worked for 2 weeks. I developed mastitis 2x since I couldn't pump and have a lot of volume that I couldn't empty with just my manual pump. Willow refused to send another replacement unless I went through a process with their lactation consultants even though I was seeing an IBCLC in person. So here I am now doing the process for a refund that will take 30 days... Issues I had: leaking, not suctioning, gulping and not actually suctioning, wouldn't pause, wouldn't connect to app, wouldn't turn on, wouldn't charge. I don't know how I had the patience to not throw these across the room. Used for 45 days and all new parts (supposed to last 90 days). Reset sometimes would help but you shouldn't have to reset a device 4x to get it to work... very disappointed overall. Luckily I am weaning as my baby can't tolerate lactose and I can't go dairy free. If I could still pump I'd donate all my milk to a mom in need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never write reviews and I especially hate that my first review is a negative one. However, as a first time mom I thought this was necessary. Pumping and breastfeeding is already hard enough do not buy a product that makes things more complicated. There is NO ease of use to this product! So many steps (turn this, flip this, wait for the gulp etc). Don’t even get me started on the leakage!!! Breast milk leaks from all different areas of the pump. By the time I am done my hands are sticky and there is breast milk spillage all over the place. There are more convenient and reliable products on the market. Sorry Willow.

Do not waste your time, money and precious milk on this product, horrible product, it has only one job to extract milk and it DOES NOT and if it gets a little(1/3rd of what i get with spectra) then its all wasted in the process of emptying the container, which are not easy to clean, milk and fat gets stock in the containers and it gets moldy. Very very bad design. I gave it enough tries and different flange sizes and bag and container etc to come and write this review. Do not buy.

This my third child and used a medela pump for the 1st 2, which worked just fine. I just hated just having to sit there while I pumped. The willow has been AWESOME! I am 3 months into use and it works well, plus I can walk around and get stuff done. Bit of a learning curve, which took me 1-3 sessions to get it figured out! But smooth sailing now! I recommend it to everyone! It's been great!

These pumps are way too expensive to act the way they do. They are so fickle on when they want to work for you. Yes, I do love the amount I get when the pump wants to work but it’s always such a gamble on what I’m going to get. I’ve used them for 2 months now and some problems I have are 1. them getting stuck in a constant “expression” mode that isn’t pulling any milk out, yet still keeps running up the number of oz I’m pumping. (Mind you, I just bought brand new milk containers that do not have any residue and the problem persists.)2. Spazzing out randomly and locking the container to the pump and wasn’t able to get unstuck til I put on charger, even though the battery life was still good. 3. The app is horrible like other users have said, there isn’t any way to delete a session when your pumps start acting up and running up the amount of oz you are pumping. Yes you can modify the amount but mine always adds an extra session at the same time that is 0 oz as well yet still counts minutes, and I can’t delete it thus making the amount of “time” I pump in a day not true. Honestly I wish I would’ve just gone with a free pump through insurance because then I would not have felt so let down, like I wasted so much money when they start acting up. The accessories are also very expensive and not practical if you plan to pump for a long time.

I wanted to love these pumps. I spent so much money on different parts thinking it was a me issue. The pumps would work great for about 4-5 sessions and then something would go wrong. The app gives generic trouble shooting that isn’t helpful. They just flat out didn’t want to work sometimes. I bought these for on the go pumping, whether I was driving, attending a concert, a wedding etc. Several times these pumps just wouldn’t work when I NEEDED them, I was then stranded without pumping for hours, I started just bringing my spectra with me places so I didn’t have to stress about the willows not working . Both my sisters bought the portable momcozy pumps and rave about them so I just purchased mine. Couldn’t be more frustrated or disappointed in the willow. The most expensive yet most unreliable portable pump on the market.
