Bought this 3 weeks ago for our upstairs bedroom and has performed as expected. Lightweight to lift into window. Side shields could be a bit sturdier.

Great Air Conditioner

This is my first Frigidaire purchase and it has been a great experience so far. This unit is efficient and really quiet operation. I love having the remote control to operate the features. I had no issues with installing this A/C.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought 2 of them to replace my old ones. The only problem I have is the filter light. The light came on and we cleaned the filter. But now the filter light on both units won’t shut off. Has anyone else had this problem ??

Compact and Sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, happy to see that quite a bit of thought process went into the packaging and protection of the shipped unit. Give that part 5 stars. Second, I really considered going after a 10,000 BTU unit but due to power and weight considerations, I opted for the 8000 BTU. I am impressed that such a compact unit could do the same job with our 3 rooms as well as the two year old, rusting, larger profile 8000 BTU unit of a different brand that it was replacing. Fan does drown out television (in next room) somewhat when set to medium or high but is fine when set to low. When running, unit sounds like a sturdy, well built air conditioner, except the manner in which it drains (hardly) is strange, even though it is pitched to specifications. During very humid conditions, you can hear the fan constantly splashing water and I did read somewhere that this was normal per the design. This is the only reason I am not giving it 5 stars. I also have a 6000 BTU Frigidaire in a bedroom that does the exact same thing. Perhaps a rep from Frigidaire can explain this design? All in all, would buy again.
