Very,very cold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now got 3 of these 2 8000 btu and a 12000 btu 1st 8000btu in 2015 2nd 2016 both work great still and very cold just got that 1200btu so far so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] just bought this unit it does not blow very cold air.installed properly this 8000 btu unitdoes not blow 1/2 as cold as the 3yr old 7000 btu unit.the 7000 blows almost 10 degrees colder air both set at 63 dgrees very disappointing!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this air conditioner and agree with the other customers. It starts with cold air then changes very quickly to hot air. What disappointment and waste of money.

Not so great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this air conditioner May 11th and starting using in June from BJ's. The filter light does not go off even tho I've cleaned it over and over again. (I've reset it numerous times.) Last night, turned it on to the smell of a dead body. It's also very loud. I have another brand in the living room, same BTU, not as loud and frankly, cooler. Not happy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, Caroline DM! We apologize for any matters you have experienced with your air conditioner and thank you for bringing it to our attention. The air filter light may illuminate after 250 hours of fan operation. To reset after cleaning the filter, press the "Filter Reset" button for 3 seconds and the light will go off.

If you are experiencing any odors, you are able to clean your air vents with the following instructions. Combine 1/2 cup white vinegar with 2 cups hot water in a large bowl or spray bottle. Spray, or apply the mixture with a sponge, onto the vents and anywhere else you can see mold and mildew. Scrub the affected areas thoroughly with an old toothbrush or scrub brush, and then rinse clean with warm water.

We also understand that some sounds coming from your air conditioner can be clamorous. Your air conditioner may make many sounds, such as high pitched chatter, vibration, ping, swishing, sound of rushing air, gurgle or hissing; which are a part of the normal operations.

Should you ever need any immediate assistance or experience any unusual sounds, feel free to reach out to consumer care at 1-800-374-4432 Monday-Friday 8:30am-8pm EST at your convenience.

Cools a little, but not as advertised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Running it on 70 degrees in a 56 square foot junior bedroom doesn’t get the temperature anywhere below 74 degrees. The Eco mode shuts the AC off despite not having reached the temp it’s aiming for. The Dry mode reduces the humidity by a few percentage points. Disappointing considering I bought this model thinking if I got one more powerful than the space called for, it would work.

Hello!

We're sorry to hear this AC isn't working well for you! An 8,000 BTU model is designed for a 300-350 square-foot space and would be much too large for a 56 square-foot space. An AC that is too large will actually be less effective than one that's the correct size; it may cool the room air quickly and shut off the compressor, lowering the temperature but keeping the humidity high. The room will feel damp, clammy, and uncomfortable. Or, in a very small room like yours, the cool air it is pushing into the room (at a volume and force expecting more space) may bounce back off the far wall and hit the sensor, causing the compressor to read the target temperature and shut off prematurely.

We would recommend a much smaller AC for your room. The smallest we carry is 5,000 BTUs and works best in a 100-150 square-foot space, but may be a much more effective option. Worst Air condo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I returned after 2 weeks. Should have returned first week. Unit extremely LOUD. Compressor would recycle even when not in eco or auto mode. louvers have minimal directional option. I was waking up at night from noise and unit was not staying cool. I have previously purchased Frigidaire appliances including washer, dryer and dishwasher and was very happy with them. I apologize for my negative comments but unfortunately I had to exchange for a different brand. I did research and most reviews are positive, that is why I purchased. In addition to my previous positive experience with Frigidaire appliances.
