excellent value, best ac I've owned

Help the Air Condition's buttons won't work. There is no respond to anything I do to the remote nor the unit.

Cools well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] AC was less expensive than the 6,000 btu one by Frigidaire, it cools our bedroom off quickly-no need to turn it on an hour or more earlier like our old one! Not as quiet as I would have liked, but quieter than our old one. Part of the issue is the cycling on and off, I would prefer if the fan ran constantly, but it shuts off then starts back up which can wake us up. Overall happy with the purchase.

Is your air conditioner in ECO mode?
With the ECO feature, when the room temperature is below the set temperature, the fan will continue to run for 3 minutes after the compressor shuts off. The fan then cycles on for 2 minutes at 10-minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on. The ECO feature can be activated or deactivated by pressing the ECO button; it is invalid in fan-only mode. For additional details about your appliance’s different features, I recommend reviewing the section “OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS” of your air conditioner’s Use & Care guide.
We recommend checking your model’s installation guidelines to ensure your air conditioner is installed correctly. Typically, an incorrect install or poor wall/window construction may cause your unit to make loud sounds.
If the above suggestion proves ineffective, please contact us directly by dialing 800-374-4432. Our Customer Care Team is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am-8pm EST.

A bit noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This A/C unit is a bit noisier than I expected it to be, and for an 8000 btu unit, it doesn't cool as well as it should. It does average job of cooling the room. I have a GE 6150 btu unit that seems to cool just as well as this one does.

If it is over- or under-sized for your space, it may cool less efficiently. The noise level of this model should remain between 55 and 58dB, depending on the fan speed. Please ensure it is properly installed in the window with all insulating material and there are no loose components vibrating against the chassis.

Awesome Air Conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love, love, love my air conditioner. I live in an efficiency apartment and I am on a budget, but needed an air conditioner in the CT heat. I have had other window unit air conditioners, but none compare to Frigidaire. This unit is quiet, cools well and remote thermostat is great!
