Unbelievable

This machine is LOUD!!! like, really LOUD. The air quality is horrible worked for 1 week and now the air blows like a basic fan and does not cool a room. I am annoyed to nooooo end because- how do you fix/rep mace something SO HEAVY?!? Ughhh
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Today’s high-efficiency compressors may have a high pitched chatter during the cooling cycle. More information on normal sounds your model will produce can be found on page 5 in your owner’s manual. If you are experiencing cooling issues, please check the following conditions: clean air filter, if dirty, set air conditioner to a lower temperature, re position air louvers for a more efficient air flow, make sure the appliance is not blocked by drapes, blinds, furniture etc, and close all doors, windows and other cool air escapes. Really noisy fan.

I bought this unit from my local retailer, two months ago. It’s relatively quiet inside, but outside it sounds VERY loud, almost like the fan is loose.
Cooler works fine otherwise. The temp down button needs to be pressed on fairly hard to work, requires a much harder push than all the other buttons. The tilt is also very shallow, maybe a bit more than an inch. Goofy window, I guess. It’s a standard cheap vinyl type. I need some help getting it to tilt to specs.

Loud and freezing up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was workinf fine for a bit. It has always been extremely loud though which is quit frustrating. However my big issue right now is it freezes up all over the front coils. The filter is clean i am assuming there is water buildup inside becauss it sounds liek a washing machine running. Idk if i was supposed to remove some plug or something somehwee ebut idk how to grt the water out or stop it from happening. Water is condensating on the outisde kf the ac into my house and the ice is also forming inside it.

This unit almost cools my entire house..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a couple of older window air conditioners that were considerably heavier. This one is lighter and does a much better job. I have it in one window on the second floor with a fan set toward the downstairs. For me, it is enough cooling for the whole house. I like that at night I can put it on low fan and can barely hear it when it comes on. This is definitely not noisy. I just may buy a second one for the downstairs.
