[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works great but I think it is cheaply made. I can practically see through the filter to the outside. It seems a little weird. My last air conditioner was all closed up and well made.

Highly Recommend: Room gets very cold, very fast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this AC a few years back for my mother (sb: she lives on a first floor and does not use an AC bracket on the window) and recently bought one for myself. I love this AC, it makes the room very cold, very quickly! Its easy to set the desired temperature and the unit does the rest. The installation was a bit frustrating because I am required to use a window bracket under the AC, but this unit is not completely flat on the bottom, it has a bump or heel which was causing the unit to lean into our room instead of leaning out. To avoid having any water leak into the room we decided to place a large book under the front of the AC to get it balanced properly. I'll be picking up a piece of wood soon to replace the book... So if your building requires you to use an AC/window bracket, then I would recommend buying a unit that is complete flat on the bottom instead of this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 8000 btu unit was purchased to replace a smaller unit that was not cooling a 12 x 12 open ceiling farm office. It's 100° all the time here and working my garden, I get VERY got and need to cool off many times in the day. This is the unit that does the job. I'm glad I got it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this model and installed it today. In the manual it states the vents and be moved left to right and up and down. I have tried and I can not move the vents up. I don’t like the air blowing straight in front. I want the air to blow towards the ceiling. Am I doing something wrong? Hence, why I gave it four stars.

I chose this AC based on the ratio of positive to negative comments. Yes, I wish the fan was a little quieter for bedroom use, but it does not keep me up at night. It cools our room great. Have been running it about a month. The only issue now is battling with the wife over the best temperature.
I would recommend this to a friend!
