The lid stopped closing after 1 week of use and then completely snapped off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this a few years ago when it was much more expensive unfortunately but we've gotten our money's worth! We use this multiple time a day for tea, cooking, warming up our baby's bottle...it's been a gamechanger. We've had other in the past but this is by far the best. Only downer is it doesn't have any temperature control which would've been nice for brewing up different teas, but not a deal breaker. A really solid product and would most definitely purchase again. Very pleased.

Heats water faster than any electric kettle I've previously owned. There are multiple options for different water temperatures which is great for any tea lover!
