I bought 1L and it’s perfect. Just enough liquid for tea or coffee in French press . Beautiful design, great performance. Fast ! …. I’m very pleased with this kettle. Would definitely recommend. Thumbs up.

Fast, Clean, Sleek, Just an Excellent Kettle!

This is exactly what I was looking for in an electric kettle. No plastic touching the water, one-piece stainless interior, and fast. Even filled to the capacity line, you'll have water at a true rolling boil in about 3.5 minutes, then it automatically shuts off. As with most Zwilling products, it's also quite sleek and attractive, and this 1 liter version takes up very little space on my counter but gives me plenty of hot water. (see video)
And true to its claims, even when the water is done and boiled, the outside remains barely warm. Nice 3-prong plug, too. And the lid only opens to a 70 degree angle to help prevent hot steam from going directly into a person's face if they were to pop the top too soon. Another safety feature.
As for all those folks worrying about spots at the bottom after using, that's simply from the minerals in your water! Mine showed up after ONE use because I used tap water and as it evaporates, the minerals are naturally left at the bottom. They are totally harmless, but to remove them, just take a tiny splash of white vinegar, swish and rinse it out. Voila! Just like shiny new again. This trick also applies to stainless steel cookware and glass coffee carafes to keep them beautiful.
Bottom line? This is a super efficient kettle that simply does what it's supposed to: gives you perfectly clean, hot water, quickly. Enjoy!

Kettle is very nice looking . . . but

Absolutely hate that I bought this beautiful kettle and the little metal splash guard (I guess that’s what it is for) keeps coming out. Most of the time it falls into the kettle and I have to fish it out. This is NOT what I expected from a quality product in this price range.

Water tastes like heavy metal; not real stainless

Do not buy this product! It is not real stainless steel and the water will taste like heavy metals. It's even worse if you let the water sit in the kettle for more than 10 minutes. I don't know if it's because you're not supposed to let the kettle fully boil (which makes no sense) but the water always comes out taste like metal. And I taste tested what I put into the kettle beforehand. Cleaned it too and that made no difference. I am very sad about this because I spent hours looking for a kettle that had no plastic in it and that was stainless steel and I was so excited about this kettle. I wish I could get a refund because it makes the water undrinkable.

I conducted a ton of research and landed on this tea kettle. This 1L is a great size for tea drinkers who only drink one cup at a time maybe 2-3 times a day. The best part is the stainless steel construction. There is no plastic inside the kettle that touches the water. The water heats up quickly, it's quiet, and the construction is top-notch. Well done!
