Great Unit But Not Made for Storm Windows.

The machine works wonderfully, it cools down my larger living room/dining room so well! However the "ease of install" is a bit deceptive for those of us in older homes. I didn't realize that I'd need to have extra pieces of wood to prop it in my windows UNTIL I opened the box and saw I was being directed to the support site for additional install instructions as I have storm windows. Along with needing to find small wood pieces to prop the front of the machine, the side panels left some gaping holes in the window from. Which, honestly, is fine as I'm used to having to add in some tape on other air conditioners. The unit works so well that I'm totally fine to overlook this, but having that information more upfront on the website would have left me more prepared.

Nice unit with major design flaw.

Easy to install, app works well, quiet and efficient. BUT there appears to be a major design flaw - once the unit is cooling, some internal problem (per Windmill) messes the sensor up. It cools the room, but it keeps cooling and cooling, won't shut off unless I turn it off0, and meanwhile tells me the room is 65 (which would mean it shouldn't cool). No use having an app-controlled ac if you actually have to be in the room to make it work properly.

I appreciate how aesthetically attractive the Windmill is, and I can see a lot of thought went into making the installation process user-friendly. I also appreciate that the return was easy. But, a lot of people out there like me are experiencing the same issue where the temperature the AC puts out is 5-7 degrees higher than the setting. The fix support suggested didn't work (and the fix wasn't really clearly documented, which was frustrating). I am not sure the design choice to put the vents on the top make for the most efficient cooling, either. It seems you have some quality control issues at the moment, which I hope you work out.

A Great AC!

This is such an improvement and upgrade over other standard window air conditioners. Extremely easy to set up and looks nice in the window. The air flow angling up rather than straight out is the best feature in my opinion.

We purchased Windmill ac to upgrade our older window units. They are sleek, quiet and cool beautifully. We now have 3 and will be purchasing more in future. Lovely product and wonderful customer service, quick to respond and resolve issues.
