Really good! Not perfect.

I bought this for my 6 month old son’s room. I knew it would be really helpful to have a system that could be controlled via my phone and also set up schedules. So far, that part has been AMAZING. Like, life-changing. I also liked the sleek design and that he could put his little fingers in the vents (like on a traditional window unit). I liked that it seemed fairly kid-proof. The only cons I have so far (after using it for a week):
1. it blows air out the top of the unit. Did I miss this somewhere? I had just assumed it would blow out the front like every other AC unit. The reason this isn’t ideal for us is because we have a blackout shade and it kind of blocks the air flow.
2. The temperature sensor on it is totally wacky. Our baby monitor also has a temperature monitor AND I have a heat reader tool and the Windmill machine often reads 10-12 degrees off (too cold). I wanted to set the AC to go on if it got to a certain temperature in baby’s room (74 degrees) but it would actually trigger at 62 degrees. I have absolutely no idea how this machine is reading the temperature of the room but it is very, very, very inaccurate.
Would I buy another one? It stinks that the temperature sensor is so far off, but I do think I’d buy another one. It looks really nice. And I’m a sucker for things that look sleeker than more traditional counterparts.

I could not be happier with the windmill product. The aesthetic most importantly and smooth look was of particular importance being that I have never had an air conditioner that was not an eye sore. I was worried that because the windmill was so sleek that it would not be as powerful and effective and I could not have been more wrong! Not only does it work super effectively being able to control it from my phone is so convenient. The windmill is also extremely quiet which provides an additional level of being that best ac unit ever! I am not the most tech savvy person and I have found the product to be super easy to use and understand the mechanics of. The customer service team was also extremely helpful with any questions I had. I will be recommending the windmill to everyone I know to keep cool this summer!!!

Just moved to NYC in May and wanted to purchase both an aesthetic and functional AC unit. The windmill is exactly that. I hired a task rabbit for the install through the windmill template so the install was a breeze. The unit is quiet on the low settings but can crank up and really cool down my room in a few minutes on the higher fan. The app is the best part and works seamlessly. I love to turn it on from my app when im 15 min from home so I can arrive into a cooled room.
