The air conditioning unit has some extremely smart features and a couple of simple solutions for chronic issues I've experienced with other air conditioners.
With my prior air conditioners in the house every time I removes the plastic cover to change the filter it would never go back on properly and it would rattle consistently. The windmill has magnetic cover something so simple but brilliant

Windmill has AMAZING customer service! My first unit arrived and was making a weird noise (something happened in shipping). They immediately replaced it with a brand new one within a week. Installation is so incredibly easy!! I have used the ac units with the tube out the window and found those extremely frustrating as the tube easily becomes disconnected! I highly recommend Windmill!

The unit arrived quickly It is simply excellent. It cools the room very well. It’s quiet. The design is really special in that it looks and feels modern and clean, both from inside and outside. The instruction manual is really easy to follow. After carefully considering many competing manufacturers’ products, I believe that I made a good decision in purchasing this Windmill AC. The only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars, is that I have triple track storm and screen windows and installation was difficult. At first I tried mounting it flush with the storm window on a north facing window. I then realized that, when it rains hard, the rain will penetrate the accordion style side curtains and flood my window sills. So I moved it flush with the interior double hung window. When I lower my outer-most storm window, it hits the top of the AC and leaves 8” wide openings on both sides. I cut plexiglass to fill these gaps, but, because the unit is rounded, the fit is not perfect. It remains to be seen how much rain will infiltrate my window sill.

The unit looks nice, but it is not nearly as quiet as advertised, nor does it cool the room as well as expected. Easy to set up, but disappointed with the performance. I am going to try and return it.

Amazing air conditioner. It checks all of the boxes for me! We also had an issue with our first one, but the customer service was exceptional and we were promptly issued a replacement. Thank you!!! Keep it up! You guys rock!

I really needed a window air conditioner but to be honest, I hated the way the majority of them looked. This air conditioner wasn’t just super easy to install but it looks great. I was a little worried about if it would fit at first but sure enough it did. The machine itself is super quiet. I’m probably going to end up buying another one soon. 10/10

Quieter, Cooler, Nicer Looking, Great Customer Service

I love my Windmill. It is quieter than the one I had before, it cools better, and it looks nicer. Also, it fits in my 39" window (wider than specified.) I asked if there was an adapter I could buy for the larger window. Francesca answered almost immediately even though it was Sunday: "...accordion side panels, which can go from edge to edge for up to 40" wide...the cosmetic foam panels that we send along with the unit to cover/hide the accordion panels for a sleeker look... can only cover up to 38", hence there would be a small gap exposing a small bit of the accordion panels" but not an actual opening for flies to get in. So, I ordered it, and it arrived in no time. I was able to install it (with a helper--it takes a holder and a window closer) before the heatwave that hit here last week. Even with the 1/2" gaps on either side it looks pretty sleek. I'm very happy I with this a/c unit!
