Good, Not Perfect

Installation was simple and the unit is attractive, although maybe a little bigger than I anticipated. I also expected it to be much quieter, which was maybe wishful thinking but it sounds like any other AC to me, not necessarily quieter or smoother like it was advertised.

Nice A/C unit

I purchased the 6,000 BTU unit and this is so far one of the best A/C I’ve had. It was easy to instal, it looks nice, it’s not so loud (I’d say it’s relatively quiet) and you can adjust the mode from the app. One thing I like is when the unit turns off after reaching temperature, when it turns back on it doesn’t sound so loud. Another thing that is nice is it doesn’t beep when you click the buttons on the remote and the led lights on the unit turn off which is nice at nighttime. One thing I would've like to see though is the remote having led lights on it because that would be easier to see at night. The unit does cool down the room to the point where it’s off most of the time. Very nice A/C though.

The 8k whisper tech is exactly as advertised. Easy to install, quietest ac we own, and very clean looking in the window. My only hope is that you start making through the wall units before my old one goes to the great beyond.

Effective, Sharp-Looking Unit & Great Customer Support

Wow! The customer service for Windmill is efficient and effective. We were having issues with the power on our unit one evening and messaged Windmill Customer Service-we received a response back right away with. troubleshooting steps. They ended up replacing our unit-and we received the new unit just a few days later. I cannot recommend this company enough! We are back to cool and refreshing air in our home.

As described, excellent at cooling and quiet

I was very pleased with the low decibels and quality of this product and bought 2 for each floor of the house. My husband and I were laughing that we should have installed it after 4th of July because the formerly loud air conditioners we owned were at least good for one thing which was preventing our dogs from hearing fireworks.
Two notes of improvement for the designers
1) The buttons to select speeds, modes, etc are so tiny that my husband couldn't read them and said "It's ok, I'll memorize what's where". This is not ideal for a lot of people with eyesight limits (especially considering you may be adjusting the product in low-light) and motor skill issues.
2) The A/C itself weighed so much more when inside the box that we were unprepared to carry it indoors upon delivery. Perhaps a warning on the weight of the box when it's delivered. Once it's outside the box, it's more managable with 2 people to lift.

My second Windmill

This is my second Windmill AC and it is perfect. Does not look as good as the advertising if you tilt your AC which is necessary.
I think you should remove the scissors (not needed)
A filter did not come with my second AC but I am sure this will be taken care of by Windmill.
