Expected disappointment. That is NOT what I got!

I wanted an authentic wood fired pizza oven but the price was astronomical. I found the black stone pizza oven and purchased it thinking I would have some level of disappointment because my heart was set on the other. However I could not have been more wrong! This is a fantastic addition to my deck and I love being able to entertain guests with a unique experience.

If you love pizza…

We were so excited to try out the pizza oven but we had to wait for the long Minnesota winter to end before unboxing. What can I say…it was worth the wait! We love it and the pizza is oh so delicious. We only have one issue which may turn out to be a bigger issue. As our stone spins and clunks and jerks as it spins, it’s literally jarring bolts loose and causing them to fall out. It seems almost lopsided. We thought maybe we assembled something wrong so we checked and double checked, everything was
right so obviously a factory issue.

This was a Christmas gift to myself and my family. I purchased this oven because of its features and the quality of a Blackstone griddle that I have. What a machine! Great temperature control. Rotating pizza stone. A great mobile stand. My pizzas have now gone to an even higher level of quality. Thank you Blackstone for doing this one right.

No hardware

After careful unpacking and laying everything out. I discovered the hardware pack of screws is missing. Little difficult to assemble without the hardware.

I still have and use my generation 1 Blackstone pizza oven and love it. Best pizza, hands down when compared to competition. Very pleased with the nice looking generation 2 and it had a bonus on/off button on the front, improved bearing design for the rotisserie resulting in silent operation and perfect pizza. All ovens are different so find the right temperature for your oven with some trials and error and you will be making your best pizza’s in no time! Highly recommend.

I been making pizzas since the 9th grade in pizzerias I’m now 45. It took about 5 pizzas to get the temp right. I made round and Detroit style deep dish. I’m from Michigan. 700 degrees is way to hot with this oven unless you’re making a thin crust cheese and pepperoni. Anything else you burn the crust and the rest is doughy. My suggestion is to turn the regulator down almost all the way and use the lowest setting to achieve a pizza stone around 575-650 to make the perfect pizza. I’ve been making my pizzas on my Kamado Joe for the past 5-6 years and they were great, but lots of work getting the temperature perfect and setting up all the charcoal. I’m very happy with this pizza oven. I’m looking forward to making other food in this oven.
