Great set, if a little too expensive, would love to see more D&D sets as a standard theme at various price poiints to build out more buildings, monsters and characters.

Excellent entry to D&D

I bought this as end of summer gift for my 8-year old. She was able to build most of it by herself over a course of a week. Then, we played a campaign she imaged instead of the one provided by LEGO. What a great set! There are so many hidden spaces, secrets, monsters. I'm wondering about re-play value once the players know where all of the secret places are, but maybe it can be combined with other sets to expand the campaign. Definitely recommended.

I woke up at 5 minutes to midnight on 3/31 to get this, even though I had to drive 600 miles at 5 am the next day. I made sure all my info was correct prior to the purchase, because I did t want a simple mistake on my part to ruin this once in a lifetime opportunity!

A really great set with cool minifigures (with alternative heads in most cases). The beasts are well represented with the owl bear, the beholder, as well as the titular Dragon. My only problem with the set is that the Dragon is not easy to display on the set.

The has been one of the most enjoyable sets to build (and along with the adventure book, wow!) and I have hundreds...and I've been building since I was a child back in the 80s. I voted for it on the Ideas website and love the changes the lego engineers made...yes, it needs a RED dragon, not green (red is more a D&D icon), the overall build needed to 'pop' as in colors (the Ideas build was bland), and the characters needed some reworking and they turned out great. The amount of details, little extras here and there such as traps, potions, weapons, hidden passages, etc, the iconic monsters (gel cube, skeletons, beholder), all of it, well done! I built this with my 9 and 10 year old boys, they enjoyed it too! Again, if you're a D&D fan, get it, build it, run the adventure, add your own lego characters, monsters, and ideas!
