If you love art and art history this set is a well worth the price. I built it in about 2.5 hours and enjoyed listening to the provided commentary with one of the designers and some experts on the Mona Lisa. I understand some people dislike the face but honestly I love it. The printed eyes look really good and to me, almost track the viewer from different angles like the real piece. There are a couple nifty build techniques used to achieve depth which I liked. I just wish they would've made a minifigure Leonardo Da Vinci like they did with Van Gogh and Starry Night. Overall the build experience is a little tedious with the frame, but it looks amazing and the actual painting build was very fun to see come together. I did have one of the gold smooth plates come with a blemish that is visible at an angle which was a little disappointing.

This is such a great build. The process of how the depth and texture is created is very nice to see. The slightly varying colors and the frame make it a great display piece.

I really enjoy the art pieces because it's a good use of my time to build and it gives me a sense of accomplishment to display the finished product. I look forward to new pieces in the future to add to my Lego art collection. So far, I have the Starry Night, The Great Wave and now, Mona Lisa.

I bought Mona Lisa the day she came out. Just built. Lovely. Fun go assemble. Not too big. I have mine leaning for the moment. Wish it had a little stand to keep upright like Starry Night, as an option, but I can add on myself. Love the soundtrack that came with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Who knew legos could be so beautiful?! I just finished the frame and i’m blown away how luxurious it looks. This is such a great past time project and great bonding time with me and my teenage daughter. I can’t wait to get this finished and hang it. I have been converted to a lego enthusiast!
