Great smoker, fair at holding steady temp <200.

Very good smoker, but not great at lower temp smoking. I actually don't eat meat. I know, why is someone who doesn't eat meat buy a smoker? I do eat fish. Usually when smoking fish I try to set the pit at a bit lower temp than you would for meat. Usually at 175. It has trouble keeping a steady temp at 175. I have done some grilling of fish and smoking nuts at higher temps and it holds those temps perfectly. I have found by trial and error that if I open the top vent a little less than it suggests, it is a bit better, but still requires fairly constant fiddling.

This grill is fantastic! It is super simple to get your cook started. Simply choose your accessory from the menu, set the temp and press the ignitor. I love the little lightning bolt on the button. The screen even tells you where to position the vents! I am using the Kamado Joe Big Block charcoal and it lights in about 10 minutes. That's perfect for most of my cooks during the week when I'm short on time and want to spend time with my family instead of tending to a fire. I highly recommend this new Kamado for all skill levels.

A Great Combination of Quality and Ease of Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I started learning about Kamado grills, I was intrigued, but hesitant to take on the learning curve. After learning about the Konnected Joe, I was all in. The ability to incorporate the technology of the controller, along with the accompanying app, make this grill a joy to use. More importantly, I'm gilling the tastiest meats in the while neighborhood!

I've been extremely impressed with the functionality of the Konnected Joe. It takes about 10 minutes to reach your desired temperature from start up. The Display is great and can be easily seen from far away.
Absolutely hit a Home Run with this!

A Fun Addition to Kamado Cooking

I have enjoyed all of the Konnected Joe modes that makes it so fun to use. You can use this like a traditional KJ being able to control your vent settings to utilizing automatic / accessory features to dial in your temps without thinking about it. I really like the automatic fire starter feature that makes lighting your charcoal a breeze. Don't worry for the haters or purist, you can still light the konnected joe on your own. I think this innovation to a Kamado Joe makes this a real easy on-ramp for beginners or even pitmasters that are feeling pressed for time or feeling lazy. I have cooked steaks, chicken, pork butt, brisket and other meats so far. I'm a big fan!

This grill is a must have! It has made my cooks so much easier, quicker & consistent! Literally set the temp and let it do the work for you. Not to mention the time it saves you- I find myself using this more and more during the week because its so quick & easy to use. Game changer for sure!

This is such an amazing grill! Especially for people just learning how to use a Kamado Joe. I put it to the ultimate test with smoking a brisket for my first cook and it nailed it!!!!

So far I love how this grill works. The heating coil that lights the coal is a huge plus as it provides a consistent light without any hassel. Being able to control the temp is great as well. Essentially, this grill takes out any difficulties folks would have with using charcoal grills. Can't wait to cook more on it.
