Digital thermometer not calibrated properly

This grill arrived last week and there is about a 100 degrees difference between the digital display thermometer and the analogue one. I know that it is the electronic one that gives a false reading since I tested temp at the grate with a Thermopro probe and it gives a very close reading similar to the analogue one. I have had several ceramic cookers over the past 13 years and I’m already regretting buying this. Waiting on Kamodojoe to get back to me about this issue. Not a good start.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being new to charcoal and tKamado cooking world, I was apprehensive about the purchase due to my lack of knowledge on obtaining and modulating temperatures. The Konnected Joe purchase did not disappoint in the ability to fire up with the electric start burner and get to temperature quickly. Product came extremely well packaged. Set up and operation was straight fwd. Bought in late October and with the aid of KamadoJoe cooking class video made my first Thxgiving turkey weeks later which came out exceptional! We now use it for our routine pizza ritual. Endless cooking versatility. Great option to get into the world of Kamado style cooking. Would highly recommend!

Have not had a chance to use it yet. One of the wire jacks broken. They sent me a replacement but having problems with disengagement tool. Have not heard from them for a month regarding problem. Only way to reach them is email - no phone. Very frustrating.

If you like the romance of watching a fire and adjusting airflow all day, you can do that with this Joe. But if you don't have the time and want it to do it for you this is your Joe. It is so incredibly easy. I feel like I'm cheating. I've owned the Egg and the Primo before and the komado products outshine them in every area. They are heavy, well built and they just work. The konnected features are like having an assistant who watches your fire and temps, while you go watch TV or play golf. It is truly a breeze to just set it up, walk away and do other prep or cooking. When it says it's done, it's done just right and alway on time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

As simple as gas, but way better.

Simply one of the most amazing things I've ever bought. I've had gas BBQs for many years, as charcoal ones were just too much hassle. When the last one rusted away, I fancied a Kamado, but was put off by the fact that all the ones available in the UK are charcoal fired.
However, after much research I decided to go for the Konnected Joe, and it's just amazing. Emptying the ash and refilling the charcoal takes a coupe of minutes, then it's just a case of dialling in the temperature and pressing the ignite button. It reaches temperature very quickly, usually less than 30 minutes, and after that it just maintains whatever temperature is set, whether it be a 6 hour slow cook, or a 5 minute grill.
The results are stunning, particularly on the slow cooks, with the most amazing flavour and moistness.
The WiFi and the app work perfectly as well.
It's going to cost me more to run than gas, but well worth it.
