Great build quality and holds heat for long cooks. Unfortunately Konnected Joe will not connect to the WiFi and app on phone rendering one of the best and most convenient features useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hands Free BBQ

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn't sure how this would work, charcoal bbq with my phone? But it turns out it is pretty awesome. My scenario is the following I want cook a rack of ribs during the week, but I have to work, so in comes the Konnected Joe, I get the grill ready and prep the ribs, set my temp, put the ribs on, monitor in the app, go back to work, Wait till dinner time, impress family with amazing ribs! And it is as simple as that. Plus you can use it as a regular Kamado Joe Classic, if you want to be more hands on. Overall a good product, no issues so far.

Loving the Konnected Joe!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my Konnected Joe for 9 months now and love the digital features. The automatic fire starter is great for lighting charcoal hassle free. Temperature control is a breeze with the digital control panel. Would like a Big Joe Konnected.

Konnected Joe - First time Kamado

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed a new grill and smoke so after much research I settled on the Konnected Joe.
Pros: Quality is just top of the line and at the price it should be.
Versatility for grilling, smoking, roasting, baking and rotisserie.
Cons: Price
Did not work out of the box. On initial fire up it tripped every GFIC in the house and I tried them all.
Solution appears to be firmware updates that I was able to apply after plugging into a non GFIC receptacle. Updated the firm ware, ran for one hour at 400 degrees. Shut it down and tested the next day in the same GFIC's that it had tripped the previous day.
Pros: Quality is just top of the line and at the price it should be.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you had offered me electric, gas, and charcoal smokers and asked which I think would be best for temperature control, there's no way I would have said charcoal. So in the last several years I've tried smoking in a propane barbecue and a vertical electric smoker. The results were never great because both invariably ran away in temperature. But I set the Konnected Joe to 225ºF and it stays there for hours with no detectible variation. And the food that comes out is much, much better than anything I've ever smoked before.
I've only had this for a couple of months but I use it every chance I get now. Worth every penny!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The grill is great. I am 12 year ceramic griller. I love the fact it starts and gets to temperature by itself. The quality of the grill is very good. The app is another issue. It lags and doesn’t always work.
