I am VERY impressed with the Konnected Joe as it performs amazingly. It holds temperature well, and the AFS is handy, and the various accessories are quite well thought out. Nothing extraneous!
The App - although it could use some improvement - does work, and I like the unit overall.

A minor complaint is that the Charcol basket does not work withe the connected Joe. While it *will* fit, it holds the charcol off the AFS coil, as well as the metal absorbs the heat, resulting in the charcol will never really lite. (Without the basket, the AFS works great!) The Charcoal basket is useful, so its 'loss' is a minor point off.
The reason for 3 starts, and not 5, is the COMPANY, not the product. Ther is NO Support phone number. BAD!! NOT COOL! For what these things cost, I don't want to spend hours looking for answers. The folks that sell these things (The Box stores), are about as useful as wet TP... not at all. God help me if I ever have a warranty issue. (Of course I travel a lot, so dropping by their office is an option!!
Anyway, fantastic grill, HORRIBLE support. GET A SUPPORT PHONE NUMBER!!!

Digital thermometer not calibrated properly

This grill arrived last week and there is about a 100 degrees difference between the digital display thermometer and the analogue one. I know that it is the electronic one that gives a false reading since I tested temp at the grate with a Thermopro probe and it gives a very close reading similar to the analogue one. I have had several ceramic cookers over the past 13 years and I’m already regretting buying this. Waiting on Kamodojoe to get back to me about this issue. Not a good start.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ease of use is amazing

The Konnected joe is a pleasure to use. Super convenient to the user that's needing a little help getting temps dialed in, or has a busy schedule with work and family and likes the convenience of remote control and monitoring. Konnected is easy to set up, and comes to temp fairly quickly. What I love about this model is that all my KJ Classic cooking surfaces, Joetisserie, DoJoe and Karbon griddle can be used with it. And you still get that charcoal flavor on your steaks and BBQ.

The Konnected Joe is a Game Changer!

I've been extremely impressed with the functionality of the Konnected Joe. It takes about 10 minutes to reach your desired temperature from start up. The Display is great and can be easily seen from far away.
Absolutely hit a Home Run with this!

A Fun Addition to Kamado Cooking

I have enjoyed all of the Konnected Joe modes that makes it so fun to use. You can use this like a traditional KJ being able to control your vent settings to utilizing automatic / accessory features to dial in your temps without thinking about it. I really like the automatic fire starter feature that makes lighting your charcoal a breeze. Don't worry for the haters or purist, you can still light the konnected joe on your own. I think this innovation to a Kamado Joe makes this a real easy on-ramp for beginners or even pitmasters that are feeling pressed for time or feeling lazy. I have cooked steaks, chicken, pork butt, brisket and other meats so far. I'm a big fan!

Fire it up!

This grill is fantastic! It is super simple to get your cook started. Simply choose your accessory from the menu, set the temp and press the ignitor. I love the little lightning bolt on the button. The screen even tells you where to position the vents! I am using the Kamado Joe Big Block charcoal and it lights in about 10 minutes. That's perfect for most of my cooks during the week when I'm short on time and want to spend time with my family instead of tending to a fire. I highly recommend this new Kamado for all skill levels.
