This grill was far easier to use than I thought it would be. Everything I have cooked on it taste great, even plain old hotdogs. I have zero regrets investing in this grill. Also, I really like the auto igniter. It makes using a charcoal grill so much easier. Additionally, the automatic temperature Control works seamlessly. I wish I had more than five stars to give this grill.

Great Replacement for Kamado Joe Classic

The Konnected Joe is a replacement for my Kamado Joe Classic I, because of the additional features that it has. I worked perfectly and made smoking a boston butt very easy.

Have not had a chance to use it yet. One of the wire jacks broken. They sent me a replacement but having problems with disengagement tool. Have not heard from them for a month regarding problem. Only way to reach them is email - no phone. Very frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very good smoker, but not great at lower temp smoking. I actually don't eat meat. I know, why is someone who doesn't eat meat buy a smoker? I do eat fish. Usually when smoking fish I try to set the pit at a bit lower temp than you would for meat. Usually at 175. It has trouble keeping a steady temp at 175. I have done some grilling of fish and smoking nuts at higher temps and it holds those temps perfectly. I have found by trial and error that if I open the top vent a little less than it suggests, it is a bit better, but still requires fairly constant fiddling.

A Great Combination of Quality and Ease of Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I started learning about Kamado grills, I was intrigued, but hesitant to take on the learning curve. After learning about the Konnected Joe, I was all in. The ability to incorporate the technology of the controller, along with the accompanying app, make this grill a joy to use. More importantly, I'm gilling the tastiest meats in the while neighborhood!

I LOVE my new Konnected Joe. We built a new house and I got to design my new outdoor kitchen. I had a Joe II Classic and left it at our old house so I could upgrade. I'm very glad I went with the Konnected. It has been extremely hot this summer in Texas and being able to get my grill up and running without having to stay outside the whole time has allowed me to grill a lot more than I would have. It is so easy to get the grill warmed up and ready to cook. Then, with the app and connected temp probe I can monitor my cook from inside the house in the air conditioning!
Plus, having the option to cook manually when I want makes it the best of both worlds. If you are wondering if the Konnected Joe is the way to go, just do it! I just wish they offered a stand alone version for those of us using it "built in".
