Used a few times and so far very good product. It would be better with a "low heat" setting as the "medium heat" setting ends with the clothes still fairly warm which can lead to wrinkles for cotton and other natural fabrics. Or perhaps a "cool down" time that actually cools down ?
I bought a few days ago after my old dryer died. I had a lot of laundry piled up so I put it to work right away! Very happy with the performance as well as the price. Makes me happy 😊
Bought in March. Came with defective start button. Two service calls so far. One more and I get a different dryer. Will not be a Hotpoint. Works well when id run though.

We are so sorry to hear of your experience with this dryer's Start button. We see that service has been scheduled, and we are confident that our technicians will get this button issue resolved, so you can resume normal use as quickly as possible.
Does not dry very well or evenly; buzzer when load is done is ear-splitting - extremely loud to the point it frightens pets and can be heard throughout the entire house.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are more than happy to provide guidance with this dryer. The drying performance will vary based on the size of the load, the type of fabric (cottons hold more water than synthetics), the wetness of the clothes and the condition of your exhaust ventilation.
We advise using the proper venting material and making sure the vent ductwork is the proper length is very important to the operation of a dryer. We recommend the use of a solid metal vent pipe 4" in diameter for adequate operation. 4" diameter flexible metal venting may be used but will increase the drying time. We don't recommend the use of flexible, white, plastic vent pipe. This type of vent pipe can collapse and restrict the airflow, causing lint to build up inside the dryer. We also recommend removing and cleaning the lint filter each time it is used. The filter can be washed with warm soapy water to remove fabric softener residue from the screen.
We have also provided some additional troubleshooting tips here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18058
If the tips provided above do not help with the dryer performance, service is advised. You can schedule an appointment with a Bodewell technician by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
Your feedback is extremely important to us. We will pass these comments regarding the end of cycle signal along to our product team to review.
I bought this a couple weeks ago, and it has saved me a lot of time. It dries fast, and I don’t have to run it more than once to dry clothes like my old dryer. Very happy with the purchase for the price
Bought this in June 2025. I didn’t need a lot of bills and whistles. I just needed something simple and that we could do the job. it has a large drum and I like that
Excellent product that works as it should and is nice and compact so i was able to get it in its place. Simple to understand controls so it's easy to iterate. It's quiet and has a strong exhaust, minimizing the risk of clogging
