I HAVE A COUPLE OF GROWN KIDS & 1 GRAND DTR THAT DO THEIR LAUNDRY. WE HAD A 1 LEVEL WATER MACHINE THAT RAN FOR OVER 45 MINS. FOR A LOAD OF CLOTHES. .THESE KIDS LOVE THIS WASHER BECAUSE THEY CAN USE THE "QUICK" CYCLE (EVERYTHING FOR KIDS HAS TO BE QUICK) NOW DAYS) I HAVE USED THE QUICK AND BULK WASH AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. IT DOSEN'T HAVE ALL THE FANCY PUSH BUTTON. IF YOU LOVE THE PLAIN PUSH & TURN KNOBS THIS WASHER IS GREAT. WHEN I FINISH PAYING THIS WASHER OFF I'M GOING TO GET THE MATCHING DRYER.
I love my new washer, but I wish it had the ability to add more water like the previous machine I had that filled so well. The spin cycle is really too long also.
I got what I paid for. This washer is different from the other washers I have had. I am having some trouble with the water level. I don't like the lid locking .
Overall good washer, I have had it now 6 months and it's been working fine since day 1. Few things, one yes it takes longer than older washers but I found that if you need to rush you can cancel the wash final spin after a few minutes and when you don’t hear any water sloshing around then just move everything to the dryer. To save on electricity they really try to fling out every bit of moisture so the time in the dryer is reduced. Also I like to start the wash fill warm and switch to cold after adding my dry detergent. To do this you must pause then change dial then resume or the water temp won’t change.
I really enjoy this washing machine. I especially like the simplicity of it, not a bunch buttons, lights & useless features. I'm coming from a front load that was nothing but headaches. I know Hotpoint is a subsidiary of GE, but I grew up on a Hotpoint. My parents used it for over 20 years & I don't remember ever having a single problem with it. It's been a pleasure to use it.
