If I could give this product 0 stars I would. Piece of junk. You are not able to just soak something—it has to run through an entire cycle. You can’t stop it once it starts. You can’t just spin. If off balance it will stop and it has to go through entire cycle again. You can’t wash blankets or a heavy load of towels. There is so much wrong with

We appreciate you sharing your feedback, and we want to assist with any issue you're having with your washer. If you need to cancel the cycle once it starts, you can do so by holding down the Start button for 3 seconds. The lid may temporarily be locked during sensing and spin portions of the cycle; in that case the lid will unlock after those portions.
This model has a Drain & Spin cycle you can use if needed. To help with the appliance going out-of-balance, we recommend ensuring the washer is leveled (the leveling legs can be adjusted if needed) and items are loaded loosely and evenly around the outside of the basket.
Troubleshooting tips for your model are available starting on page 24 of the manual, which is linked here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--esnlivKk--/o60hz6zrissnlkutq8qc.pdf

This is my second Hotpoint unit that I've purchased...My previous one lasted about 5 years, but we literally used it about 2-3 times a day, every day almost, so I believe we got decent use of out it. It finally died and now, have purchased this new unit and so far, it is working as expected. We have a tight location for where the washer needs to be placed and this unit is built to the size needed.
I've only used this machine for about a month now. At first, I thought that there was something wrong with it because the sounds and cycles are different than my old machine. Then I read the "Quick Start" and it mentions that it sounds very different. I am super impressed how clean it gets my laundry and the spin cycle is excellent. Gets most of the water out of my clothes which makes for faster drying in the dryer which saves on electricity.
I’ve not had it a week yet, but I’m very satisfied so far with this washer. It’s pretty easy to say this is doing much better for me after having a washer without an agitator for years. NEVER AGAIN. I’ve had a hotpoint dryer for years and just upgraded to this set. I’m confident it will last me a long time!
I've already had a bulky load that I had to run the spin cycle twice for. The first spin did not take all the water out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry that this washer did not properly drain and spin your bulky load. We advise using the Drain & Spin option for additional spinning when you experience a larger load that did not get fully spun out.
