Good machine

I've had it for a week now and so far it's been a great washer! Makes a funny sound when it's washing but it's doing a good job! It has a lot of good features on it more than my last one which was 25 years old!
I would recommend this to a friend!

One of the features that makes this washer great is Cold Plus! When selected, Cold Plus adjusts the wash action to achieve a great clean on any wash cycle while saving up to 90% on energy costs. We'd like to provide some information on your new washer's sounds. Newer washers use newer technology so the sounds may be different from your prior washer. You can find a description for your washer's sounds on pg. 27 of the owner's manual here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--esnlivKk--/o60hz6zrissnlkutq8qc.pdf.

GOOD WASHER

I've enjoyed a year of good service from this washer.
However, it's quite loud while operating and SOME loads produce a high pitched tone while spinning. No serious problems, I never overload it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's no surprise that you're enjoying the cleaning performance from this model! This large capacity washer can easily handle 15 lbs. of laundry which saves you time on laundry day. We’d like to assist with your washer’s sound level. It’s extremely important that the washer is properly leveled and all 4 leveling legs are firmly on an even floor space. This will help to ensure a quieter operation. You can find instructions on leveling and additional troubleshooting here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=000063110.

Basic Washer

It does what it's supposed to. It's a basic washer. The only issue I have is the clothes does not wring out well enough. It doesn't come out soaking wet but I need to add additional time while drying.
I would recommend this to a friend!
Response from manufacturerBy AdrianGE_AppliancesMarch 10, 2026
We are happy that your washer is cleaning as expected. We advise running an additional Drain & Spin cycle once your wash cycle has completed if the clothing items are too wet. Running this cycle in addition to the regular wash cycle will help with drying time.

Had problems with it from day one. Tech has postponed repair/replacement visit two times so far. Store we got it from hasn't been very honest either. Wasn't able to attach videos of problems.

Hate hi-efficiency
on March 5, 2026
Posted by: cat4
I hate high efficiency! I knew I would because everyone says it's such a nuisance, but it happened to be the cheapest one and I needed to act fast. I don't like all the electronics; I'd much rather just turn the knob to desired setting, like I always have. I don't like how it won't run unless lid is shut and you can't open it during wash cycle to put something else in. I also dye my own fabrics alot, and have no control over turning it on another hot-water cycle to complete dye project; I want to determine how much water I put in; everything is under the control of electronics, the way everything is getting to be these days, and I hate it all. I don't even see the "hi-efficiency" in it anyways; it's all a nuisance.

We'd like to share some information about high efficiency models and how they operate. We will also share some information about pausing the cycle and resuming after adding in extra items. High efficiency washers use less water than traditional washers, while providing the same level of cleaning.

For pausing the cycle, you can always press the "Start/Pause" button mid cycle. This will unlock the lid and allow you to make any adjustments needed. You can find more information on page 8 in the user manual here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--esnlivKk--/o60hz6zrissnlkutq8qc.pdf

Page 15 in the same manual, also shares information about the water level and load size, so that you can see how to optimally load your washer.

Defective Equipment
on March 3, 2026

Doesn’t fill all the way up. First day using it and I’m having issues already.
Response from manufacturerBy TierraHaier_AppliancesMarch 9, 2026
We'd like to assist with your washer not filling up all the way. Keep in mind that water may not cover the top level of the clothes. This is normal for this high efficiency washer.

Firstly, make sure the washer is plugged in securely. The washer should be on a separate, dedicated outlet. If the washer was stored where temperatures are below freezing, water in the pump can freeze and lock the motor. Allow time for thawing and the unit will start. Please refer to the following article for more information:

If the issue persists, please schedule a service appointment with a Bodewell technician by calling 833-426-3393 or schedule online at https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service
