My old washer died so after comparing washer brands and models in person at the store, and after looking at many reviews, I chose this Hotpoint washer. I have had several over the years and they last me a long time. This one gets my clothes way cleaner than the old machine that died. It was not a Hotpoint. I also have a Hotpoint companion dryer that so far has lasted for 11 years and still looks and works perfectly. I will now stick with Hotpoint.
Totally disappointed. When it's going if you touch it for some reason, it usually stops and starts to fill again......regardless of where it was in the wash cycle. Doesn't happen ALL the time...but quite often. Can't figure out why. If you pick the maximum water level setting it still only fills up about halfway. Have to do more loads. Also, it spins for 30 minutes....that's ridiculous. Worst washer I've ever had....and I'm 75 years old. No wonder it was on sale!!!!!

We want to help out with your washer stopping during mid cycle. We suggest trying a quick electronic reset, this can be done by removing the power cord for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. If this doesn't help, we suggest getting one of our approved technicians out. You can do so by calling 1-800-432-2737 or by visiting this link here (https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm).
