I bought this washer a month ago and I absolutely hate it. It doesn't fill enough to cover my clothes even when I set it on maximum level fill. It keeps going off balance no matter what size load I wash. It doesn't always spin the clothes out because it won't speed up, so I have to drain and spin again. I wish I would've kept looking for a different washer or at least buy a used one that's NOT a water saver.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers, such as this one, are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. We recommend scheduling service with one of our certified technicians if you continually have issues with the balancing of your appliance. You can schedule an appointment with a Hotpoint Appliances technician by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
Purchased this washer after my 20-year old washer died. I like the simple features (there is too much to fail electronically on some more expensive washers). A full cycle takes about 50 minutes - a little longer than my old washer, but it does a great job. It's a nice washer for the price.
