Good Compact Washer

I bought the washer in July because of the compact size. So far it has worked well. The controls are very simple and easy to use. The only complaint is it is a noisy washer.

Water level not so good

Just did my 1st load of laundry in the GE hotpoint. First thing I am not satisfied with is the water level. I put on MAX water level and it only filled the tub 3/4 full. If that’s MAX water level then what will HIGH level be? Seems overall a bit noisier than my Samsung washer. Washer is much lighter than my Samsung. When washer starts spin cycle there is a clanking noise just before spin cycle starts…hhhmmm

This machine is very delegate. I have to check on it to make sure it I not JUST SITTING THERE, STUCK IN A CYCLES.

Bought, probably three weeks ago water levels are not what I expected. It says I go to the top but it does not and it’s kind of noisy when it agitates.

Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers, like this one, are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary.

The washer and dryer were installed on 08/13/2024. With the exception of the dent on the washer, (not the fault of GE), the washer and dryer work great. It's a little loud but tolerable.
