Just installed and first load went well. Will take a while to learn how to run this washer since I've had my old one for 19 years! Hopefully this one will last as long!

I understand this is a high efficiency washing machine but I shouldn't have to dump 6 buckets of water to fill it up so clothes wash properly

Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With Washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most Washers, such as this one, are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary.
