Exactly What I Ordered - Gets the Job Done

So far so good. I've only had this GE washing machine for about a month. It performs flawlessly and is relatively quiet. A bit more capacity and less noisy than my previous washing machine. I've owned several washing machines over the last 30 years and this is my first GE. The price was competitive and it had my preferred cycle and load selections.

We wanted a very basic washer that was going to, well, wash our clothes! Have had the machine for about 4 months now and have no complaints. We have a big family with lots of dirty clothes and this machine is able to stand up to task.

extreme vibration on spin cycle

This washer vibrates, shakes, and moves on the floor during the spin out cycle. It's so bad that the movement has actually damaged both the washer 's and dryer's paint by contact during the spin cycle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

DON'T BUY THIS WASHER !! IT DOESN'T CLEAN CLOTHES

DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER!! I am so sorry I did. I would give it ZERO stars rating if I could. You cannot control the water level. Used it for the first time today, a full load of 4 queen-sized flannel sheets. The water level barely got the bottom of them wet. There is no way 4 gallons of water clean 4 queen-sized sheets, I don't care what the user's manual says. I wish I could get a full refund so I could buy a washer that actually CLEANS laundry. I HATE THIS WASHER !!! Shame on you GE !!!
