Poor wash quality

I do not like the water level control, It does not allow me to control the water and I do not like the low amount of water used to wash. When I use the fabric softener in the agitator it creates a mess inside the washer. The water level is so low, that it does not clean the applicator. This is my first purchase in over 28 years, and I am so unhappy with the product. If I had the option I would return both the washer and dryer. It is also my first time in over 30 years that I have had a matched set. I will not recommend this to anyone.

We'd like to assist you with the water level on your washer. Our new washers are equipped with load-sensing technology, and use less water but still provide great cleaning performance. Decent, but extremely loud agitator noise

Ordered this unit to replace our 20 year old Kenmore Elite front load washer. Wanted a simple to use dial operated top load washer this time. The fact that we could control the water level manually was a big plus. A stainless steel drum was also important. The functionality is excellent. The clothes come out cleaner and fresher compared to our previous front load. The spin cycle functionality is excellent. The one major area of concern is the unusually loud, rhythmic noise the oscillating agitator makes during the wash cycle. It sounds like a loud frog croaking! Just installed 2 days ago and 4 wash loads later it still continues. Even with the laundry room door closed, we can hear it throughout the house. I was expecting a regular washing machine noise; not this however. I’m starting to wonder if some plastic fitting is overly tight resulting in a plastic element binding and scrapping against another. Otherwise, the unit would get a much higher rating from me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE Is Still The Best!

I love my new GE Clothers Washer! I love the cycles of the machine that provides a vast variety of washing methods. My previous washer was also a GE. I’ve had it for 25 year and it has stood the test of time up until it no longer was able to function properly. GE has alway been a great brand that delivers quality products!

This washing machine is replacing a similar one so I’m hoping it lasts longer! Loved the older version and so far, love this one too. I don’t need or want lots of bells and whistles, just something that works and I’m happy with this purchase!
