EXTREMELY unhappy with the air fryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a replacement for our previous KitchenAid, which was the same size, same configuration (lower oven, upper microwave) as my other one, whose microwave was misused and had broken. I loved my previous one, and was very disappointed when I saw this did not have a roast function, which I used almost exclusively. The air fryer is NOT the same as roasting, which your service center said it was, no matter what recipes I try. I cannot achieve the same results with the air fryer, and am VERY sorry I bought this one. I’ve since learned there are other models that still have a roast mode. If only I had known you had changed yours, I would NOT have bought it. Why did you do away with your roast mode, which was wonderful in every way?

Not the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both units appear to be weak. For example a frozen pizza I have cooked for 15+ years at the exact same time and temp takes both longer and higher heat than manufacturer calls for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great looks! Who designed the controls?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great look and feel. Oven performs very well. Complaint number 1 weak microwave. Might be by design but it’s annoying. Number 2 no stop button. This would seem logical one would think. I really don’t feel safe opening up the door while it’s going. But the only option is to press cancel which leaves you with a zeroed timer. I can’t figure that one out. Who are the engineers who designed this thing? For over 4k it should be not be so lame in these areas. Number 3 no accessory pan. Only an email inviting me to get one free of charge. However the website won’t allow me to add it to the cart because they have none. Hmm seems they knew something but didn’t tell the customer. We are adjusting to the oven. The dislikes are big in my eyes but eventually we will have to get used to it.

Difficult to modify cooking parameters during cook

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like: one roll-out rack Dislike: cannot change temp while running. Likewise, can't change start time or stop time. Have to cancel all settings to change it. Microwave run time cannot change while running. Touch "buttons" are not backlit. Printed options are hard to see in dim light.
