[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my Samsung TV for streaming, movies, and sports. This is my 2nd Samsung and bought the Samsung brand again because of my previous positive experience. Beautiful picture quality and good sound. I am finding it easy to use and figure out as I go. I am very happy with this purchase!

Absolutely the best picture quality for any tv in this class! 4k content is amazing. Only wish I could get every movie and sporting event in 4k!!! With the added benefit of adjustability, there is no better tv I have viewed in this class! Awesome tv!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed in Samsung QN90D

I had a Sony Bravia that was not the best despite what Sony says. So, I bought this Samsung TV, but there are issues here. I can't believe there is NO Input or Source button on the remote. You need to use a button on the screen itself. That's nuts! So, I had to buy a Samsung Universal IR remote that has that function.
Next, when turning on the TV it resorts to last played app and starts playing. I turned off that Setting, but TV keeps doing it. Did a reset but no change. Also, I had to disable the Samsung TV App because the TV went there first every time. I think this is because there is no option to choose your source. Samsung is assuming you have no external devices like Roku or Xfinity attached. Not good! At least Sony Bravia gave you time to make an Input choice. Very disappointed in Samsung. I also had trouble setting picture but now resolved.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

RedDragon,
Thank you for sharing your user experience. While your TV may currently default to Samsung’s TV Plus app, please know you can choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Start Screen Option
1) Enabling Start with Smart Hub Home automatically launches Smart Hub when the TV is turned on. Navigate to this option to enable or disable the feature. 2) If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app is automatically run when you turn on the TV. You can turn this function on or off by pressing the Select button in the current menu.
You can also quickly access your TV Settings and Sources by pressing the Settings/Number/Color button (below the power button) on your remote.
If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

It's okay...not great, just okay.

Bought it over a Hisense U9. We were talked into this one and told it was a better TV. Meh. We have the best cable package from Comcast (4k) and the TV doesn't look anything like it did at the store. I could have spent half as much and had the same picture quality.

Lumpy,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your TV. To ensure you’ve got the latest image quality updates, please confirm that your TV is up to date with the latest firmware version. You can check by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode ...and select the mode that best fits your usage: 1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments 2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments 3. Eco: Provided to save energy 4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room 5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).
For further assistance with settings adjustments, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link for: • LiveChat • Manuals, Software, & Warranty Info
