It's okay...not great, just okay.

Bought it over a Hisense U9. We were talked into this one and told it was a better TV. Meh. We have the best cable package from Comcast (4k) and the TV doesn't look anything like it did at the store. I could have spent half as much and had the same picture quality.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your TV. To ensure you’ve got the latest image quality updates, please confirm that your TV is up to date with the latest firmware version. You can check by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.

Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).

Best TV I every bought

Best TV I ever had. The anti glare feature was the primary reason why I bought this model over OLED technology and it is impressive not to see any reflections on the TV on a bright day or at night from ceilings lights. It was a pricy TV but it will last me for many years to come. Well worth it !

Why go to the Theater

I have never gotten so much pleasure out of relaxing at home on the couch as I have since buying our new Samsung 42"! Fabulous quality, our sound bar icing on the cake!! Don't see why I'd ever have anything but Samsung!!

Amazing picture - Would buy again and recommend

I would give it more stars if I could. My wife and I always comment about how great the image looks. We had a Samsung 63in and not only is it bigger but the picture is so clear. Case in point, the cityscape scene are so clean and crisp.
Action scenes are great. Sports are good but any issues usually come from networks using 720p (via YTtv on a fire stick).

Hands down the best TV experience from ease of system of system integration (eARC) and related signal processing to simplicity in navigating. Incredible video fidelity and the 85" screen brings the images right into the home in near life like viewing.
